Wow, it is not foggy!
My mother, father and younger sister came to visit us this past weekend. We had a really great time. We had some good times while Scott was working.
Last Thursday, we decided to set out for San Francisco. We decided that it would be best to go see the Golden Gate Bridge first. I was grateful for that, because it was actually not foggy! It looked beautiful. We walked out on the bridge from the vista point to the first tower. It was a lot of fun. Milo didn’t seem to enjoy it too much. That might have been because it was a little windy and loud from all the traffic on the bridge. It was great seeing the bridge again.

We then decided to go over into the Marin Headlands to see the bridge from a different view. I couldn’t remember which turn we needed to take. After that wrong turn, my sister wanted to keep going to see what else was on the road. This proved to be a great adventure. We ended up in Sausalito. We drove up the roads up the mountain to see the houses. It was a lot of fun.
We did make to to the Marin Headlands, but didn’t stop at Battery Spencer. It was crowded, like normal. We did drive up the road further and stopped to see a beautiful view of the bridge.

We found some old army batteries. We went on a very short little hike. We came out on the other side of the mountain where you could see the Point Bonita Lighthouse in the distance. It was very cool.

At that point we were getting hungry, so we decided to go into San Francisco to find something to eat. I took them by the Palace of Fine Arts. It is an amazing building. We ended up eating at Mel’s Diner on Lombard Street somewhere near Fillmore Street. While we were there, Milo tried to eat some lemon. My sister got a great little movie on her camera of it. I hope to get that posted tomorrow. It was hilarious. I laughed really hard.
After we ate lunch, we decided to walk around to see some of the shops. We did that and found some fun little shops. We didn’t buy anything, but did stop to get some ice cream cones.
On the way home, we decided to drive by some of the destinations in Golden Gate Park. We did make one stop to watch some surfers on the beach along the Great Highway in San Francisco. That was really fun to see.
That night, we ate dinner at a taqueria near our house. We enjoyed our dinner very much. We had a very fun day!
