Milo’s artwork

Milo brought this piece of artwork home the other day.  It was the type where you could buy his design on some clothing or a cup or something.  We opted to just take a picture and not purchase anything.  We are thinking that the background might have had some color in it and Milo did the drawing.  We aren’t really sure.  We hope you enjoy it.

Our day at the Children’s Museum

Last Friday, Milo was out of school.  The neighbor I carpool with suggested that we take the kids to the children’s museum.  I thought would be fun and we planned the trip.

The children’s museum is in downtown Austin.  I haven’t ventured downtown yet and was happy to catch a ride with our friends.

The day started out with a car wash (along with a gas fill-up on the way there) which the kids loved.  When we arrived, the kids were very excited.  Any child would love going to a children’ museum.  They really enjoyed it.  Holly kept wandering around and wanting to get into everything.  Although, it was hard for her to keep up as the other kids were a bit older than her.

Holly has had her fingers in her mouth quite a bit lately.  I think she is teething…

Grumpy Holly
Holly gets very grumpy when she can’t be doing what the other kids were doing.  She is just too small to do some things.  She did find fun things to do, like move board from one part of the exhibit to another and back again.

We checked the museum out for a time and then ate lunch.  We brought lunch with us and the kids seemed to really enjoy that too.  On the way home, there was a car accident on the freeway and so we drove through part of downtown to another freeway.  It was great seeing a few more buildings.  We’ll have to go check it downtown another day.  Needless to say all the kids except for Milo fell asleep.  Holly was, of course the first one to fall asleep.

All in all, it was a good day!
