Tag, you are it!

I was hoping I could avoid this, but…here goes.

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

10 Years Ago: I truly can’t remember. I believe that I was finishing up with my legal secretary degree (that spring) and was going to get a full-time job.

5 Things On My To Do List Tomorrow (today for me): 1. Do the laundry. 2. Make dinner. 3. Work on my lesson for church next week. 4. Prepare for my snowshoeing trip tomorrow. 5. Water my plants.

Snacks I enjoy… Anything sweet…

What would I do if I were suddenly made a billionaire? I would save some of it for future purchases. I would also give some way to others who truly needed it. I’d like to get a nice house with a computer room, library and hobby room. Who knows what else I’d do with it.

3 Of My Bad Habits: 1. I am a perfectionist when it comes to certain things, although I’m learning to let some things go. 2. I let others opinions affect what I do. 3. I spend WAY too much time on my computer (when my children let me).

5 places I have lived: 1. Morgan, Utah 2. Mountain View, California 3. Boise, Idaho 4. Austin, Texas 5. Salt Lake City, Utah

5 Jobs that I have had: 1. Fast food worker. 2. Specialist in making copies, sending faxes and doing mail. 3. Legal Secretary 4. Legal Word Processor. 5. Temporarily worked for a few places.

Things people don’t know about me: I am a crazy sleeper. I talk and sometimes get up. I get cranky when I don’t have time to do the stuff that I need to. I don’t really like to clean much, but I’m working on getting better at it. I like to read books, although I don’t always have time to do it.

Tour of the Chocolate Factory

Mrs. Cavanaugh's Logo
Mrs. Cavanaugh’s website

We have been talking about going to the chocolate factory with all the cousins. We decided that we’d try and go today since the kids had it off school. It ended up due to illness and the snow that Milo, Holly & I went.

We had such a good time. To start out the tour, they let you watch a movie. We were able to choose a movie about chocolate or a movie about the history of Mrs. Cavanaugh’s. We chose the chocolate movie. After the movie, we were given a sample. They let us look out into the factory to see them making chocolates and putting them into boxes. They have about 20 workers in the factory. It was a little sparse today because of the holiday. After this, we went into see the little village that has a train that goes around. We were then able to watch part of the “I Love Lucy” episode about chocolates. Milo quite liked this movie and commented on how he hadn’t seen it before, but liked it.

After the movie we were able to sample another chocolate. The tour guide told us that Mrs. Cavanaugh was there giving a tour as well. She seemed like a nice lady and said “have another chocolate,” then later said, “have as many chocolates as you want….” We didn’t take any more.

It was fun and always very interesting to go on factory tours.

Christmas 2007

We had a great Christmas spending time with both families. Our Christmas started out with Monica’s family the Saturday before Christmas. We spent some time playing in the snow (the kids, sledding and Scott, Monica & Laurann, snowshoeing). After we had an appetizer dinner. We had some great foods to eat. That will probably be a new tradition. After dinner, we opened presents.

Holly and Grandpa
Holly had the privilege of hanging out with Grandpa.

Happy boy
Milo enjoys opening presents.

Stick 'em up
He was very excited to find that he received cap guns. He likes playing with those.

Draw!
Milo enjoyed wearing and playing with his guns.

We spent Christmas morning with Scott’s family. Santa brought Milo’s and Holly’s gifts to Grandma Little’s house.

Santa's surprises
Milo got a red light saber and some play doh from Santa and Holly got a newborn cabbage patch kid and a stacking set. There were a couple of new movies as well.

Light saber initial reaction
Milo was being a bit shy when he first started looking at his light saber. He was very happy though. He’d been waiting for a while for it.

Play Doh
Milo seemed happy to have some fun things to play with his play doh.

Holly's Cabbage Patch
Holly doesn’t really seem to care too much about her cabbage patch kid.

Holly's ball
Holly does likes this little yellow ball because it has a bell inside it.

Swinging the light saber
Milo enjoyed testing out and playing Star Wars with his new light saber.

Madelyn loves to play in the cabinet with movies. She wasn’t too happy when Holly came over to play too.

After everyone woke up on Christmas morning, we had Christmas breakfast. It was very good. After breakfast, we opened presents.

Milo was excited to start opening the gifts.

Snowman

There was a really great snow storm on Christmas Eve. Milo, Lisa & Tom decided to build a snowman. He looked really awesome, well that is until Milo decided to destroy the poor guy.

The snowman was a bit big for Milo to demolish by himself…so he had a bit of help.
